Officer Application

NTSO Officer Position

Students applying for officer positions need to meet the following minimum criteria:

A. President

  1. Have completed at least two long semesters at Texas State University.
  2. Be enrolled in at least 6 semester hours per long semester.
  3. ​​​​​​Must have a Texas State G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher.

B. Vice President

  1. Have completed at least one long semester at Texas State University.
  2. Be enrolled in at least 6 semester hours per long semester.
  3. Must have a Texas State G.P.A. of 2.25 or higher

C. Program Coordinator

  1. Have completed at least one long semester at Texas State University.
  2. Be enrolled in at least 6 semester hours per long semester.
  3. Must have a Texas State G.P.A. of 2.25 or higher.

Application Deadline: November 24, 2021 @ midnight

Interviews: Interviews will be scheduled based on availability. You will receive an email invitation. *BE SURE TO ENTER ALL OF YOUR AVAILABILITY IN THE QUESTION BELOW to make scheduling more effective.

Mandatory Attendance: CSO Officer Retreat, Student Leadership Meetings, Student Involvement events (example: Bobcat Preview volunteering), Officer Meetings, and NTSO Retreats

  • Officers are required to work 7 hours a week with extra volunteer hours considered service to your organization
  • Officer meetings are weekly and flexible
  • NTSO Retreat will be held in January - Date TBD

  1. All student workers are required to attend the Student Center (including Student Involvement) Retreats and meetings required by your supervisor.
  2. Accurate cash handling (if applicable). Officers will be held financially responsible for any shortages occurred during his/her office hours.
